How Does BioTe Hormone Therapy Work?

During your first hormone therapy appointment, we evaluate whether you are a candidate for BioTe with extensive lab work, a detailed review of your medical history, and a physical evaluation. During a treatment session, we numb the area, usually around the hip or upper buttocks. Our provider performs a small incision to insert the hormone pellet. We secure the injection site with a bandage. The pellet will dissolve and release the hormones into your bloodstream.

After a pellet insertion, we recommend that you avoid swimming, baths, and strenuous physical activity for a few days. You can still walk and shower safely. Our team provides you with specific guidelines according to your age and health to maximize your BHRT results. You can usually resume any regular activities after the removal of your bandage.

You can notice improvements as quickly as four weeks. However, full results can take up to six months. Many individuals report positive changes after their second pellet injection.
